First, what is play? I can't define it, but thinking about it...isn't that playful?

Starting small like an infant
Growing arms, hands, feet
Running, running
Through passageways, up ladders
Opening doors and windows
Climbing, flying, soaring
Escaping into words and deeds
Manifestations of play
